From My Railway Carriage

Huffle and chug to a stop

As soon as the station arrives

Out of the window I see

A live canvas so enchanting!

Noisier than markets

An array of smells assaulting the senses

As crowded as banquets

Here! The train comes!

Buzzing like bees all over the station

Porters juggling luggage’s, guard waving flag

Vendors hawking products, parents clasping children’s hands

All for a few minutes and then the train chugs away.

  1. Very well done..so thoughtful and good observation, reflects in the way the scene is painted with the power of words. Way to go Sahana.. wish you a wonderful future
